Smart Phones without Tempered Glasses

The 1st Smart Phone was designed by IBM & sold by AT&T in 1993. Between 1993 & 2007, a lot many people scratched the surface of Smart Phones, until one Mr. Steve Jobs launched the iPhone. iPhone changed the industry and why ? One of the reasons below-

Steve removed all the buttons and increased the size of the screen leaving that much more for users to consume. iPhone sales soared and parallelly Google came out with the Android OS in 2008.. Nothing happened in India for 2 more years until HTC launched India's 1st smartphone, HTC Magic, in 2009 to cash in on Smart phone's popularity. Samsung followed suit, People forgot Nokia and years later OnePlus joined the bandwagon, you know the smartphone scene in India today. In between all this, a very important thing happened, that helped make Smart phones affordable & durable for all the classes. Lets look at it.

The Tempered Glass.

If you remember, back in those days, we would have bought a brand new smart phone paying top bucks for it and it just slipped from our hands and fell. The Screen would be damaged and we might be forced either to live with a damaged phone or again spend top bucks to restore it. This went on for few years until Tempered glasses appeared on the scene. Putting a tempered glass on those smart phones gave cushion and freedom to handle the smart phones casually because of "Afterall, mostly the temper will get damaged and its replaceable" attitude. Today you see anybody who buys a smart phone will buy a tempered glass along, right? Why because compared to the money that you spent on buying the phone, the cost of Tempered glass is very less. All the more, its cheap to put a temper glass than to afford to replace the display if a mishap does happen.

Imagine today somebody buying the latest smart phone but refusing to buy tempered glass in order to save some money or believing that the phone would rarely slip from their hand or more strangely, thinking that "My old phone never slipped from my hand so this too wont fall" !! Weird, Strange, lack of common sense, Not so smart?, Dumb - Can we say?,  and all that comes to your mind... A smart phone without a Tempered glass? Seriously?

Rolling it over to our Savings/ investments, I always find it that people give so much importance to savings/investments but don't pay enough attention to buying a term insurance or health insurance. We wrote about how cheap health policies in India are esp. if you are still young. But still people give silly reasons to not buy one.  Don't forget that they are tempered glass for the large savings you already have or will have in future.

So Friends, hurry up, Buy a Tempered Glass
