The Hundred

We will not leave anything for guesses today. We have had enough guess games over the last 99 Posts!

Yes, this is going to be our 100th blogpost. And before we get into the sojourn of self reflections,

A big thank you to each one of the readers who read our blogs, appreciated the well written ones, silently ignored the bad ones,  shared ideas to write blogs on, told us that we wrote exactly what their thoughts are, those who encouraged us to keep going, those who reminded us that we did not write a blog for a long time, those who forwarded it to your friends, those who kept our blogs as their Whatsapp status (few of you did that, I still don't believe it though), told us that our blogs helped them think sincerely about their finances, those who started their 1st SIP inspired by our blogs, those who bought a term cover, those who bought a health cover, those.. Well a 100 blogs is a long time and this "Thank list" cannot cover everybody and if we even tell - "We tried covering all of you", we will be trying to tell a sweet lie and as financial advisors, Sweet lies are cardinal sins and we wont tell you Sweet lies!

The Start - It was a November night, I called up my partner and told him that we should write what we think and share it with people. Ok, What are you thinking that world should know, he asked and I sent him this blog, our 1st blog. We wanted a regional and financial identity to our blog address, we decided to pick madrascapital as our blog address and on November the 18th 2017, two novices started their blogging journey called as Droplet Wealth Advisors @ madrascapital.blogspot.com

The Plan - It was simple, we wanted to write a blog each week and by that measure, we wanted to write 54 blogs a year and For the 1st 3 tear at least, this was the plan.

The Reality - As per our plan, we expected to share our 100th blog by the end of 2019 but this how a graphical representation of our posting history looks like -

The only thing that should catch your attention is those big gaps, Months where we did not write even one blog, There are periods where for months together, we did not do any blogs. That's how reality is! Nothing works to plan and what was supposed to happen in straight 2 years took as many as 7 years.

The Sojourn of Self Reflections - What do we talk about 1st? Hmm... Firstly,

The 100 Crorepathis -   Most of you know that one of the Dream Missions of Droplet Wealth Advisor is to create 100 Crorepathis. A crorepathi is one who has a networth of 1 crore and we want to create 100 such people by educating our clients about Financial planning, creating a actionable plan for them, ensure they believe that creating a corpus is not a impossible task and finally help them achieve that dream goal. So when we self reflect, we are sure that this is not a simple-straight forward task. We will quickly get a few clients who will be a part of that mission, followed by long periods where our new clientele will not be adept to the rigors and discipline required to part of mission. Clients who will need intense counselling and hand holding to the extend where they will sap us of our energies and exhaust the wits out of our patience, Clients who will be more volatile than the equity market due to their temperament.

so the lesson from our blogging is -

  • Start - like we started blogging 7 years back.. Start searching for those probable crorepathi.
  • Be at it - Even though we did not blog for intermittent periods, we never stopped thinking about it. There are bundles of drafts in our blog page, Blogs which never got completed, like clients who will drop off in between..
  • Believe - That we will continue to write blogs and reach 100, 200 & never know cross many more milestones..

Now Secondly,

The Crorepathi - Its not a impossible task to become a crorepathi especially given today's economic conditions and the growth prospects that we as individuals have. But the challenges remain the same for you as it is for us -

  • Start - The biggest of them all. We never start thinking about our finances and if we think, we never start working on them and so on. So, pick up that pen and paper and start writing a financial plan for you.. If you do not know where to start, pick up that phone and call us! But START
  • Be at it - You might plan something which will not happen, don worry.. Be at it.. Talk about your financials consistently and re-jig you plan to achieve them. NEVER GIVE Up or get fedup
  • Believe - That is possible to reach whatever goal that you set for yourself..  Being a crorepathi is the simplest and most do-able tangible goal that you can set for yourself. BELIEVE that you can be a crorepathi too!
